GCU Soccer Squad Selected as 2009 NSCAA Team Ethics Award Winner

KANSAS CITY, KS - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced that the Georgian Court University soccer team has been named a 2009 NSCAA Team Ethics Award Winner. 

68 teams recieved either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the Team Ethics Award, which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

GCU was one of 14 teams to receive the Bronze Award, which is presented to teams that receive no reds and a maximum of 10 yellow cards. Nine intercollegiate teams recieved the Gold Team Ethics Award for completing the entire season without receiving either a yellow or red card. The remainder received the Silver Award (maximum of five yellow cards, no red cards).
