SEWELL, NJ- The Georgian Court University cross-country squad, after taking a week off, returned to action Saturday morning with a fifth-place finish (out of 12 teams) at the CTC Championship 5K held at Gloucester County College.
Led by the 14th overall finisher,
Cynthia Cuiule (20:46), the Lions compiled 144 team points following meet-winner Rowan University (23 points), DeSales University (68), Stockton College (94) and St. Joseph's College-New York (106).
"This was our best meet of the season, hands down," said head coach #Kerwin Lanz#. "They ran hard, they ran with pride and confidence. I was so glad to see them do so well, it speaks well of their character."
Rounding out GCU's finishers were
Allison Landry (30th, 21:36),
Katelynn Colgain (35th, 21:49),
Krystal Belcher (39th, 22:06),
Christie Gallant (69th, 23:38) and #Emilia Lopez (79th, 23:59).
The Lions head back to familiar ground next Saturday, Philadelphia's Belmont Plateau, for the running of the Cabrini College Invitational at 11:00 AM.
