KISSIMMEE, FL- The Georgian Court University softball squad capped off a perfect first day Saturday evening, topping Lewis University, 2-1. Freshman hurler Lyndsey PeQueen earned the victory in her much-anticipated collegiate debut. 

The Lions (2-0) did all of their scoring in the second frame, capped by a two-run single from C Donnie Brossoie (pictured).

PeQueen had as many pitches working as a kaliediscope has colors as she kept Lewis off base until Michelle Vucsko's (Fr.-Chicago, IL) double with two outs in the fourth. Lyndsey (1-0) allowed a lone run on three hits and two walks, while striking out three, in six frames. 

Diana Sansevera, who earned a 7-6, nine-inning victory over Northwood University (MI) earlier in the day, came on to get the final three outs (2 K's) and earn the save.
