LINCROFT, NJ- 2009 CACC Rookie of the Year, Justine Berger (So.), finished 20th overall (78 total runners) and topped all Georgian Court University runners in GCU’s first meet of the 2010 season, the Monmouth University XC Kick-Off, held at Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ.

Berger, an eight-time CACC Rookie of the Week last season, completed Saturday’s event with a time of 15:47.5. Following her across the finish line were sophomores Cynthia Cuiule (29th place, 16:03.2) and Allison Landry (37th place, 16:31.4), freshman Katelynn Colgain (50th place, 17:00.1), freshman Cassandra Lenkowski (52nd place, 17:11.9) and seniors Krystal Belcher (58th place, 17:33.0) and Heather Miara (65th place, 17:55.0).   

The Lions compete again next Saturday, September 11th at the Fordham University Fiasco & Follies in The Bronx, NY.
