Brookhaven, N.Y.-  Megan Emanuelo (Sr.-Deer Park, NY) scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute (97:52), giving host-Dowling College a 2-1 overtime victory vs. Georgian Court University Thursday afternoon.

Dowling improves to 11-5-1 with the victory as the Lions fall to 10-8 and see their four-game winning streak come to an end.

On a rainy night at Golden Lions Field, the scoring started off quick with Kelly Lyons of GCU connecting in just the first minute of play (0:45) courtesy of a pass from Candace Seaton.  The header gave GCU an early 1-0 lead.

Gabrielle D'Aprile (Jr.-Patchogue, NY) found the back of the net for the first time this year, scoring in the 39th minute (39:56) off a ball from Kristy Vitale (Jr.-Shirley, NY).  The score remained at 1-1 headed into the break.

GCU now awaits the conclusion of the CACC regular season to see who they will take on in the first round of the conference tournament Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
