LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University soccer squad suffered its second straight defeat Thursday afternoon at Investors Savings Bank Field, falling to visiting Dowling College, 2-1, in double overtime. The Golden Lions, winners of four straight, improve to 9-2-1 while GCU drops to 8-5-1.
Dowling's

Katie Vecchio pass to tie the contest at 1-1. For Tremblay, the goal marked her first of the campaign. The contest would remain knotted until Merrill struck again in the 107th minute (106:41) as the freshman soldified the road win off an assist from
Kayla Mueger (Sr.-Farmingdale, NY).
Golden Lions' goalkeeper
Melissa Guglielmo (So.-West Babylon, NY) earned the victory in net with four saves. GCU netminder #Casey O'Connor# suffered the valiant defeat, collecting 12 saves in the effort. Dowling outshot the home squad, 19-9, and held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
