Georgian Court Women's Soccer Program Announces Class of 2020

Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University women's soccer program, headed by reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year, James Moore, is pleased to announce its class of 2020. GCU will be welcoming 11 new members to the squad this fall as each are looking to continue the excellence of the Lions' squad.

"This year's class is diverse and each will bring something special to the program," shared Moore. "I am very excited to get this group onto the field and watch them lead the Lions over the next four years."

Let's meet the newest Lions…

Natalie Axelsson (GK) 
Absegami High School
NJ Rush (Club Team) 
Natalie chose GCU because "I wanted a smaller school that had my major and an excellent soccer program ... GCU fit perfectly."
Natalie is most excited to "help continue the success of an already fantastic team."

Dana Fontana (F)
Brick Memorial High School
Princeton SC NPL (Club Team)
Dana chose GCU because "GCU is known to have an exceptional education program and I have always aspired to become an educator. GCU is also known to have an outstanding soccer program and a coaching staff that I wanted to learn from."
Dana is most excited about "the honor and privilege to be a member of the GCU women's soccer team and creating new friendships with my teammates and helping to win a conference title."
 
Anissia Fucci (M)
Manchester High School
TRFC Force (Club Team)
Anissia chose GCU because of "the beautiful campus, successful academic programs and a competitive soccer team."
Anissia is most excited to "be a part of a successful program with girls who have the same goals and the determination and will power to do amazing things. Although I am walking onto a team, I know I will be leaving with a family."

Kaitlin Lister (F,D)

Kaitlin chose GCU because "I liked the smaller class size. I have many family members who are alumni of the school and GCU is giving me the opportunity to play both soccer and basketball."
Kaitlin is most excited for "the great experiences and triumphs of playing collegiate athletics while making new friends and becoming a stronger player."

Kristen chose GCU because "of the small professor-to-student ratio, the many majors I will get to choose from, and my family members who attended GCU who enjoyed their experience." 
Kristen is most excited to "continue playing the sport I love at the collegiate level. I am looking forward to meeting the team and having great new experiences."

Tori chose GCU because "from the first time I stepped foot on campus, I felt really welcomed. The nursing program is very good and it's close to my home."
Tori is most excited to "challenge myself, make new friends, and be a part of something great."

Caitlyn chose GCU because "I loved the campus and closeness of the GCU community."
Caitlyn is most excited to "continue my soccer career and form friendships with the girls on the team."
