New York, N.Y. - Georgian Court University track & field traveled a skeleton squad to Friday's Armory College Last Chance Meet in what marks the final indoor competition for the East Coast Conference champion Lions in 2018-19.
Devin Martin led the way in men's action as the junior achieved a pair of Top-10 finishes on the day, placing fourth with a time of 8.44 seconds in the 60m Hurdles while taking eighth overall in the Triple Jump at 13.76 meters.
The GCU tandem of
Dylan Breen and
Kennedy Omari finished 6-7 in the Long Jump at 6.73 and 6.67 meters, respectively.
Evan Boyce soared to a fifth-place height of 4.35 meters in the Pole Vault while
Cameron Wardle cleared 1.95 meters in the High Jump.
Hussein Elmeshad nailed down seventh-place in the Mile Run, finishing the four laps in 4:26.82.
On the women's front.
Aniyah Russell closed out her maiden indoor campaign with a fourth-place leap of 5.51 meters in the Long Jump.
Meesha Samuels solidified ninth-place in the 800m Run with her time of 2:27.94.
The Lions now await the start of the outdoor calendar, which commences on Saturday, March 23 at the Stockton University Invitational in Pomona, N.J.
