Taylor Lipkins of Frederica, Del. Set to Sport Royal & Gold as Member of Georgian Court Softball Class of '25

Lakewood, N.J. - Head Coach Nicole Degenhardt announced today that Taylor Lipkins of Frederica, Del. is the newest member of the Georgian Court University Softball Class of 2025.

"Taylor is a great outfielder who will add speed to our lineup," said Coach Degenhardt. "She has a great attitude and work ethic which will allow her to grow and develop over the next four years. Her passion for the sport comes out whenever you talk to her about softball. The entire coaching staff is excited to work with Taylor."

Currently a senior at Smyrna High School, Lipkins also plays field hockey for the Eagles. A four-time Academic All-Conference selection, Taylor also landed on the All-Conference Second Team for her prowess on the diamond.

A member of the Honor Society, Taylor has achieved High Honor Roll status in the classroom every year of her high school career.

Looking to major in health science once at Georgian Court, Taylor selected the University because "it is a smaller school which allows for more one-on-one contact with my professors. I also grew up by the beach and GCU is very close to the water. Lastly, they have a competitive softball program, which will allow me to grow as a player and allow me to make even more memories with new people."

And what are her goals for her first year in college? "I'd like to improve in every aspect of softball and be able to create better time management skills, to balance both softball and class, while also keeping a high grade-point average."
