Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University's Lyric Green has qualified for next week's NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships (March 13-14, Birmingham, Ala.) as her team-record of 12.10 meters in the triple jump has provided the senior the opportunity to compete against the nations' best in the event.

Green, who will be the first Lion to compete in the Indoor Nationals since Tiffany Okeime (shot put/weight throw) in 2014, established her qualifying distance with a first-place leap at the Fasttrack National Invitational on Feb. 14.

"Congratulations to Lyric on her selection to the NCAA National Championships," stated Mike Murawski, head coach of the Georgian Court men's & women's track and field program. "She had a tremendous season, and it's not over yet. As a senior, it is so great to have her hard work recognized at the national level. She has steadily improved every year of her collegiate career through pure tenacity and hard work."
