Lakewood, N.J. - Head coach Nicole Degenhardt announced today that Sarah Clancy of Chino Hills, Calif.will be joining the Georgian Court University softball program this fall as the newest member of the Lions.

"Sarah is going to be a great addition to our pitching staff," stated Coach Degenhardt. "She has great poise in the circle and the right mindset to do great things in the conference. She is going to be an impact player right away and I cannot wait to see her in action."

The 5'10" southpaw graduated with honors this spring from Chino Hills High School near the top of her class. A scholar-athlete award winner all four years with the Huskies, the aspiring anesthesiologist was also involved in the Health Sciences Academy.

Anticipating to major in biology at GCU, Sarah had this to say regarding her decision to join the Lions: "I decided to go to Georgian Court because once I went onto campus, it immediately felt like home. I just really enjoyed the balance of challenging academics and a really strong athletic program. I always knew what I wanted in a college, and I am so glad that I have finally found it!"
