Newark, Del.- Georgian Court University women's cross country, in its final regular-season meet of the season, participated in Saturday's University of Delaware Invitational as the Lions placed 4thth overall in the event.The Lions totaled 103 points on the 6k course at White Clay Creek State Park.
The host-Blue Hens earned the overall team victory with 15 points. Goldey-Beacom College (3rd-place) were the only Division II entries in the competition.
Amirah Beasley, for the fifth-consecutive meet, topped Georgian Court with a time of 27:12.5 and a 22nd-place result in the individual standings.
Madalin Jones followed seven places behind, finishing 29th overall with a mark of 29:12.1.
Rachel Pausz (33rd, 30:13.4),
Niya Barden (36th, 31:29.5) and
Samantha Rozon (37th, 31:31.6) closed out the Lions' entries.
Georgian Court now prepares for the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Meet, Oct. 24 at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa.
