Robbie Babson and
Jan Volkmar enjoyed stellar showings in their collegiate debuts as the freshmen each collected first-place finishes in their respective events Friday in the Fasttrack Season Opener (hosted by the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex). The meet marks Georgian Court University's first indoor track and field campaign since competing in the Armory Leap Year Invitational back on February 29, 2020.
Babson carried the field in the shot put as the Toms River, N.J. native launched a meet-best heave of 14.99 meters in the shot put. Volkmar soared for a top mark of 4.40 meters in the pole vault.
