NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 23, 2023) - For the second time this month, Georgian Court Soccer senior Emily Clayton has been selected as the CACC Defensive Player of the Week. 

Clayton played a big part in the Lions only game last week, a 3-1 win over Felician. She scored a pair of goals on offense and helped out defensively as GCU allowed just the one goal.

Clayton is now up to five points on the season. She had scored just five points and one goal in her previous 50 games with Georgian Court.

The Lions have just three games left in the regular season and are right in the middle of a tight playoff race. They're at Wilmington and Bridgeport this weekend before finishing the season at home Halloween night.
