NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 1, 2023) - With the CACC Tournament approaching, the CACC named their final weekly award winners for the 2023 regular season with Kaitlyn Stufft honored as the final Player of the Week for the season.

Stufft led the Lions to a perfect 6-0 week as they finished up the regular season at 34-16 and 18-6 in the CACC to earn the No. 3 seed in the upcoming tournament. 

In those six games, Stufft hit .417 with 10 hits in 24 at bats. She had multiple hits in three games. She drove in 14 total runs with an RBI in each game and multiple in five of the six. In game two against Chestnut Hill, Stufft was 3-4 with three RBI. She finished the week and the regular season with a walk-off two-RBI single in the seventh inning against Holy Family. She also upped her hitting streak to 25 straight games.

The Lions play again tomorrow afternoon as they host Holy Family in round one of the CACC Tournament. GCU needs to win one game to advance while the Tigers must win twice.
