LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 10, 2023) - Ahead of the start of the NCAA Regional Championship Tournaments, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their 2023 All-Region Teams. Georgian Court, making their fourth straight trip to regionals saw two juniors make the All-Region Team.
Junior first baseman
Kaitlyn Stufft was selected to the All-Region First Team while
Adriana Mungo was named All-Region Second Team at catcher. Neither is a stranger to this award. This is the second award for Stufft who was also First Team a year ago and the regional Player of the Year. She's just the third Lion to ever be named to the All-Region First Team twice. This is Mungo's third NFCA All-Region nod, just the second Lion to ever make three All-Region squads.
The duo has led the Lions to their fourth straight NCAA Regional Championship. The Lions enter with a record of 37-19. They went 18-6 in the CACC and made it back to the CACC Tournament Championship game last weekend.Â

Stufft is leading the team with a .386 average and 1.074 OPS. She's been one of the toughest outs in the CACC hitting .477 in conference games with a .510 on-base percentage and 41 RBI. Stufft is the league's top run-producer driving in 63 this season to lead the league and rank 11th in Division II. She's also in the CACC top-10 in hits with 71, home runs with 11 and doubles with 15. Stufft has reached base in 31 consecutive games and set a new team record with a 27-game hitting streak earlier in the season.Â
Mungo is hitting .342 this season with 64 hits, 44 runs scored and 51Â runs batted in. She has 22 extra-base hits collecting 15 doubles, six triples and one home run.

She is the only player in the CACC to be in the top-10 in RBI, doubles and triples.Â
Stufft and Mungo will look to continue their success this week when they begin NCAA Regional play Thursday, May 11th taking on No. 6 seed Franklin Pierce in Wilmington, DE.Â
