LAKEWOOD, NJ (May 18, 2023) - Three from Georgian Court Softball made an appearance on the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East region team. Adriana Mungo and Kaitlyn Stufft are on the First Team while Jayda Jones makes the Second Team.

This is the second All-Region team Mungo and Stufft have appeared on this season. They both made the NFCA All-East Region Team announced last week. All three have previously made the D2CCA All-Region Team. Jones made the team in 2021 while Mungo and Stufft make it for the second consecutive season. 

Georgian Court and the CACC did very well with the D2CCA awards this season. The Lions three are tied for the second-most of any team. Of the 28 members on the All-Region team, 16 came from the CACC.

Mungo played all 60 games for the Lions appearing at catcher, second base and designated player. Mungo hit .345 this season in a team-high 200 at bats. She collected 23 extra-base hits with 16 doubles, six triples and a home run. Her 51 RBI were top-five in the CACC and second for the Lions. She was also All-CACC Second Team and NFCA All-Region Second Team. 

Stufft led the Lion offense with 11 home runs and 64 RBI. Those numbers also led the CACC. She finished the year playing all 60 games as the primary first baseman and hit .379 with a 1.049 OPS. Her 75 hits led GCU and of those, 29 were for extra-bases. During the season, Stufft had a 27-game hitting streak, done just 20 other times in Division II history. She reached base safely in each of her final 35 games. 

Jones became a mainstay in the Lions outfield playing in 51 games and making 46 starts. She finished the year hitting .371 with a 1.038 OPS. She led the CACC with 19 doubles and of her 56 hits, 25 were for extra bases with a triple and five home runs to go along with her 19 doubles. She was third on the team driving in 46 runs while scoring 30 runs. She was a Second Team all-CACC selection. 

With their First Team selections, Mungo and Stufft will be on the ballot for the D2CCA All-American team released later this spring.
