NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 24, 2023) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced the 2023 Softball All-Academic Team this morning. Georgian Court put six members on the squad.
The Lions who made the team this year are
Brittany Gable,
Alyssa Herrera,
Taylor Lipkins,
Adriana Mungo,
Jadalynn Rodriguez and
Kaitlyn Stufft.
Herrera, Mungo and Rodriguez are all two-time honorees. Gable has a 3.88 GPA in Health Sciences. Herrera is a Management major with a 3.76 GPA. Lipkins is a 3.94 student studying Health Sciences. Mungo holds a 3.89 GPA in Accounting. Rodriguez has a 3.51 GPA as an Exercise Science major. Stufft has a 3.50 GPA while studying Criminal Justice.
In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must meet a certain criteria. They must have completed at least two full semesters at their current institution, whether they are in undergraduate or graduate school. This is different from the College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-American team where graduate transfers are eligible in their first semester at the new institution. They also need to have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediate preceding term (may include summer terms).
