LANCASTER, Pa. (Jan. 28, 2024) - Georgian Court Track and Field was back in action Saturday afternoon in Keystone State at the Franklin and Marshall Mini-Dip Invitational.
Sprints/Hurdles
•
Shalom Adzakro picked up her first of two top-three finishes in the 60m hurdles. She ran 9.67 in the prelims to qualify before bettering that to 9.42 in the finals, moving up to second place.
• Four Lion women ran the 300m.
Aaliyah Thorpe was the top finisher in 15th place finishing in 45.53.
Niya Barden was 19th at 45.90,
Molly Burns 24th in 47.15 and
Selma Cazimoska 40th in 52.90.
•
Samantha Lonseth competed in the 60m and 200m dashes. She ran 9.24, good for 48th in the 60m dash and 31.58 which was 24th in the 200m.
• The women's 4x400m relay time was second overall running 4:19.38.Â
• For the men's sprinters, they do had a large contingent in the 300m.
Wayne Robinson won the event running 36.34, which is fourth all-time at GCU.

Seth Powell took 10th place in 38.46 and
James McCoy 14th in 39.33.

Nicholas Jordan and
Joshua Tipaldo each ran the 60 and 200m dashes. Jordan was 34th in the 60m running 7.74 and 31st in the 200m at 24.75. Tipaldo ran 8.15 for the 60m which was 48th and was 40th in the 200 finishing in 26.69.
•
Sean Donnamaria was the only Lion to run at the 400m distance. He was 19th running 57.10.
• The men's 4x400m relay took fourth in a time of 3:35.52.
Distance
• The longest distance for any GCU runner on the track was 800m.
Amirah Beasley finished in third place running 2:28.96. She was joined by
Madalin Jones running 2:47.22, an indoor personal-best, and good for 15th place.
• The men saw
Ryan Pettrow and
Kyle Spector finish back-to-back in the 800m. Pettrow was 11th running 2:04.41 in his first time racing the distance at the collegiate level. Spector took 12th in 2:05.33.Â
• Also running the 800m were
Joseph Jamolawicz and
Thomas Rosky. Jamolawicz ran a personal-best time of 2:12.91 and finished 25th. Rosky was 33rd running 2:15.93.
Jumps
• Adzakro's second event was the long jump where she finished third with a mark of 16-5.25.
• Donnamaria also competed in a second event, the pole vault. He cleared a personal-best bar of 12-3.5 which is sixth all-time at Georgian Court.
Throws
•
Robbie Babson was an event winner in the shot put. He was .01m away from hitting an NCAA qualifying mark. His throw of 53-10.5 is still a season-best and tops in the ECC.
•
Malicah Etienne also had a top-five finish throwing 48-10.75 which was good for fourth place.
Anthony Lorenzo threw 33-1.25 for 38th place.
• Etienne and Lorenzo each threw the weight as well. Lorenzo was 19th with a new PR mark of 38-7. Etienne threw 33-6.5 for 26th place.Â
• Both
Sabrina Halk and
Chiamaka Wokocha threw personal-bests in the weight throw. Wokocha was 21st at 38-9 and Halk 31st at 32-8.5.
Georgian Court is back on the track next weekend, Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Liberty Open in Lynchburg, Va.Â
