LAKEWOOD, NJ (Nov. 8, 2024) - Georgian Court Cross Country will be sending a handful of athletes to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division II East Regional Championship Meet this weekend.

Last Year's NCAA Regional Championship
• Last year's NCAA Regional Champion saw the men's team post their best finish in program history.
• The Lions finished in 10th place overall led by
Alec Valle setting a school 10K record 32:34.06.
Kyle Spector (33:03.77) and
Xavier Seals (33:18.61) were also in the top-50.
• Southern Connecticut was the team Champion on both the men's side and the women's.
• The top three teams in the region all automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship race along with a handful of other top finishers not a part of qualifying teams.
Last Time Out
• Georgian Court last raced two weeks ago at the CACC Championship meet.
• The Lion men took a sixth place finish and the women came in seventh place as a team.
Lions This Season
• Only six from Georgian Court are competing in the meet. For the men,
Nolan Kus, Joseph Jamolawicz,
Ryan Pettrow and
Matthew Schaub will suit up.
Amirah Beasley and
Madalin Jones will run for the women. All but Schaub and Kus ran at this meet last year.
• This year, Kus and Beasley have led the team in all six races thus far. They both have seen their times drop throughout the season. Beasley even race a season-best 5K race on the challenging Belmont Plateau course at the CACC Championship meet.
• Jamolawicz and Pettrow have seen great improvements from last season and throughout the year this year. They've both been in the numbers two and three position for the Lion men.
• Jones also ran a great 5K at the CACC Championship meet and has been second for the Lions in the last five meets.
