LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 31, 2025) - It's the final Monday in March and Georgian Court Athletics and Kessler Rehabilitation Center have two new Kessler Athletes of the Week! This week's awards go to Kaylin Curro from Lions Softball and Malicah Etienne from GCU Track and Field. 

Kessler is the official physical therapy partner of Georgian Court Athletics. Their team of movement experts will be on campus to provide athletic training services to the student-athletes. ⁣With over 10 physical therapy centers in the surrounding community, students, faculty and staff can experience the power of physical therapy close to campus.

Curro was integral in the Lions two wins last week. Overall, she was 8-14, hitting .571 with a .600 on-base percentage. Curro smacked two doubles and scored three runs and drove in three more. She had at least one hit in all four games, including a 3-4 performance in a win at Goldey-Beacom. Defensively, Curro was her normal excellent self, handling all 15 chances at second base without making an error.

Etienne had two top-two finishes at the Stockton Osprey Open last week. He put himself on the national map, hitting an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the discus, winning the event with a throw of 166-9. He also finished second in the shot put, throwing a season-best 51-4.5.

There's two chances to see Curro and GCU Softball this week. They play at home Wednesday, April 2nd against Wilmington. They're also at home Saturday, April 5 against Dominican.

Track and Field is also in action once again this weekend. They'll be at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival in Collegeville, PA, Friday-Saturday April 4-5.
