COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (April 5, 2025) - Georgian Court Track and Field battled the elements Saturday afternoon at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival. Despite the harsh conditions, GCU still had strong numbers across the board.
Sprints
•
Jewel Pierrecharles had a good day in the short sprints. She set a personal-best in the 100m dash running 12.97, her first time breaking 13 seconds at GCU. She was also 11th in the 200m running 27.20.
•
Leela McConnell ran both races as well. She had an outdoor PR in the 200m running 28.57 for 27th place and was 26th in the 100m at 13.77.
•
Molly Burns took 14th in the 400m dash running 1:04.53.
• On the men's side it was
Brandon Rudder leading the 100m sprinters. He ran the event for the first time at GCU and placed 23th in 11.47 which immediately ties him for eighth all-time at Georgian Court.Â
• Also running 100m were
Nick Jordan and
Joshua Tipaldo. Jordan was 55th in 12:08 and Tipaldo's 12.72 was good for 68th. Jordan later finished 49th at 200m running 24.12.Â
• Wayne Robinson had the fastest 200m time for the Lions. He placed 28th in 23.10.
Karmjeet Nagara ran his first outdoor 200m race with the Lions and was 53rd in 24.25.Â
• At 400m,
Marcos Murillo-Benavides took 20th place running 51.96.
James McCoy was 25th in 52.77.
Distance
•
Amirah Beasley ran both 800m and 1500m races. She set a personal-best in the 1500m running 4:59.32 for a ninth place finish. That bumps her up to fourth all-time in the event. She was also 13th in the 800m running 2:25.56.Â
•
Brenna Sullivan also ran a PR in the 1500m. She placed 51st in 6:12.84.
•
Jurnee Tuttle and
Kerry Ann Hohenshilt ran their first 1500m races with the Lions. Tuttle was 39th in 5:38.33 and Hohenshilt 54th in 6:24.29.
• The Lion men saw four run the 5,000m.
Nolan Kus and
Joe Jamolawicz finished back-to-back in 13th and 14th place. Kus ran 16:29.47 while Jamolawicz was right behind him setting a personal-best time 16:30.60.
•
Matthew Schaub ran 17:14.00 for 19th place and
Luke McCormick was 24th in 17:55.61. It was each of their first outdoor 5K races with the Lions.
•
Ryan Pettrow had a ninth place finish in the 1500m. He ran 4:07.63.
Zachary Spoonire was 30th in 4:19.19.
•
Abdullah Brown represented GCU in the 800m and ran 2:28.32 for 54th place.Â
• Georgian Court put together a men's 4x400m relay team. The team of
James McCoy,
Marcos Murillo-Benavides,
Ryan Pettrow and
Zachary Spoonire finished 14th in 3:35.34.
Throws
• Georgian Court picked up an event win in the men's shot put.
Robbie Babson threw an outdoor personal-best 54-2.75 for the win. He also was fourth in the hammer throw at 146-7.Â

Mark Linton threw three times and had three top-10 finishes. He set a new personal-best in the hammer throw with a mark of 161-7. That put him in second place. He was also third in the discus with a mark of 151-11 and seventh in the shot put throwing 46-4.Â
•
Malicah Etienne had two top-three finishes. He was second in the discus throwing 158-5 and third in the shot put at 49-11.25.Â
•
Thomas Menegus set a new personal-best in the discus. He threw 115-6 for 20th place and was 16th in the shot put throwing 40-5.5.Â
•
Guius Dabney threw the shot put and the hammer. He was 13th in the shot at 41-4.25 and set a new PR in the hammer at 105-1 for 20th place.
•
Anthony Lorenzo placed 19th in the hammer throwing 107-2.Â
• In the women's hammer throw it was
Chiamaka Wokocha who won the event. She threw 146-0, just short of her personal-best for the win. Wokocha then took fourth in the discus. She threw 123-5, just a couple inches short of her personal best.Â
• GCU had two more in the top-10 of the hammer throw.
Adrianna Fodera was sixth throwing a personal-best 123-6 while
Sabrina Halk was ninth at 117-7. Fodera also took 12th in the shot put at 34-7.5 and 25th in the discus at 89-10.
•
Ava Reardon took second in the javelin throwing 126-9.
Juliana Dogostino was 21st with her throw of 78-9.Â
•
Kaydence Fischer finished in third place in the discus. She had a mark of 130-6.
Jumps
•
Tishanna Cohen was the only Georgian Court jumper to get a legal mark in any jumps events. She was eighth in the triple jump at 34-10.5 and 15th in the long jump at 15-5.5.
Next weekend Georgian Court is back in action at the Rowan Invitational in Glassboro, NJ, Saturday, April 12.Â
