Men's Track Finishes Second, Women Fifth at CACC Championship Meet

LAKEWOOD, NJ (May 3, 2025) - The CACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships is in the books. Georgian Court had two excellent days of competition, exceeding expectations on both sides with their team score and numerous event winners and point scorers.

The men's team championship came down to the final event, the 4x400m relay. Georgian Court had a four-point lead going in, but despite running a season-best relay time, couldn't overcome Goldey-Beacom who won the 4x400m relay and with it the championship by two points, 127-125. 

The women finished with 78 points for a fifth place finish. They were just four points away from third place. Felician repeated at team champions on the women's side, running away with the team trophy, scoring 222 points. 

Throws
Day 1

• Ava Reardon was the Lions first event winner on the women's side. She threw the javelin 131-11 for the win.
• Juliana Dogostino and Adrianna Fodera finished back to back in the javelin. Dogostino took sixth in 103-1 while Fodera was seventh at 102-2.
• Georgian Court took home two medals in the men's hammer throw. Robbie Babson was the event winner throwing 157-3, his third consecutive CACC title in the event. Mark Linton took second place throwing 155-3.
• Guius Dabney threw a personal-best for ninth place. He had a mark of 126-0. Anthony Lorenzo was one spot behind Dabney throwing 121-2 for 10th place. 
• The women's hammer throw also took place. Chiamaka Wokocha had a third place finish throwing 137-6.  
• Fodera scored her in second event, throwing 118-8 for sixth place.
• Sabrina Halk and Kaydence Fischer took eighth and ninth place. Halk threw 117-3 and Fischer 105-11. 
Day 2
• There were four throwing events on day two and Georgian Court won three.
• Starting with the men where Robbie Babson became a four-time champion in the shot put. He threw an outdoor personal-best 54-6.75.
• Malicah Etienne and Mark Linton took fourth in the shot. Etienne threw 50-1.75 and Linton had a mark of 48-4.75.
• Guius Dabney and Anthony Lorenzo each set personal-bests. Dabney was sixth throwing 47-4.5 which puts him ninth all-time at GCU. Lorenzo threw 44-6 for ninth place.
• Thomas Menegus finished 14th throwing 40-8.25. Menegus had a big PR in the discus throw with his mark of 128-10. That was good for sixth place in the competition. 
• The discus was won by Linton who bettered his own school record throwing 174-10.
• Etienne was second throwing 162-0 and Babson eighth at 120-7.
• The women also had a champion in the discus. Kaydence Fischer threw 139-11 for a personal-best to win the event. She also had a PR in the shot put throwing 39-8.5 which is eighth in Lions history and put her in third place. 
• Chiamaka Wokocha threw a personal-best in the discus and finished third with her throw of 128-5. That moves her to sixth all-time at GCU.
• Sabrina Halk was ninth is the disc throwing 102-3. Adrianna Fodera took 12th in the shot throwing 33-4. 

Sprints/Relays
• Jewel Pierrecharles started day one with a 13th place finish in the 100m dash. She ran 13.11 into a strong headwind. 
• She ended Friday making the finals in the 200m dash running 26.69, a personal-best. In Saturday's finals she ran 26.84 and remained in eighth place. 
• Pierrecharles wasn't the only Lion to advance to the finals in the 200m dash. Brandon Rudder got through after finishing seventh in the preliminary round, running 22.52. He moved all the way to fourth in the finals, running 22.38. 
• Georigan Court did not have a qualifier through in the 400m dash. Wayne Robinson took 10th place running 51.29 and Marcos Murillo-Benavides was 12th in 51.51, which is a personal-best time.
• In the 4x100m relays, unfortunately the Lion women got disqualified for a handout outside of the exchange zone.
• The men took fourth place, running their first 4x100m relay of the season. The team of Rudder, Nick Jordan, Robinson and Ivan Ramos-Lopez ran 43.08, fourth fastest time in school history. 
• The meet closed with the 4x400m relays. Both teams ran season-best times. Robinson, James McCoy, Murillo-Benavides and Rudder finished in 3:24.60, second-fastest ever at GCU.
• The women saw Molly Burns, Leela McConnel, Tishanna Cohen and Amirah Beasley run 4:15.13 for fifth place and a season-best time. 

Distance
• It was an outstanding day for senior Amirah Beasley. After finishing second last year at 800m, she was back again in 2025. This time, Beasley ran down leader with less than 100m to go, on her way to her first ever CACC Championship, winning the event in 2:19.40. 
• The Lions moved up throughout the 10K and scored crucial points Friday. Joe Jamolawicz took fourth running 35:16.98. Nolan Kus was fifth in 35:55.75.
• Those same two were back Saturday for the 5K. Kus finished in eighth place running 16:31.83 and Jamolawicz was 10th in 17:01.15. 
• Ryan Pettrow found his way onto the medal stand again in the 1500m. His strong kick over the final 200m moved him up to second place running 4:02.51.
• Pettrow later competed in the 800m running 2:17.48 for 17th place. Zachary Spoonire was eighth with a personal-best time 1:59.73. 

Jumps
• Georgian Court swept the medal stand in the pole vault. Ivan Ramos-Lopez was the event winner jumping a personal-best 13-9.25. Ramos was also awarded as the CACC Top-17 Award winner for having the highest GPA on the men's side at the Championship site, with a minimum of 48 credits earned. 
• Julian Rodriguez and Sean Donnamaria each cleared the bar at 12-11.5. Rodriguez took second based on number of attempts while Donnamaria was awarded third place.
• Rodriguez also competed in the high jump. He finished 10th overall clearing 5-10.75. 
• Saturday saw the triple jump compete with all three Lions scoring and setting personal-bests. Tishanna Cohen took second place in a personal-best mark of 37-2.25, sixth all-time at Georgian Court. Pierrecharles was fourth with her mark of 35-8.
• Matthew Sutton finished in seventh place as he jumped 42-11.5 and moved up to sixth all-time in Lions history. 
• Juliana Dogostino finished sixth in the women's high jump, clearing 4-8.25. 

In the CACC, individual and relay winners are named All-CACC First Team while second place is named All-CACC Second Team. Georgian Court had 10 named All-CACC with seven on the First Team and six on the Second Team.
