LANCASTER, PA. (Jan. 24, 2026) - Georgian Court Track and Field was back in action this weekend. They finally stepped away from OceanBreeze in Staten Island and competed at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, PA.
Throws
• While he didn't set a new school record,
Mark Linton was once again the winner of the weight throw. He threw 57-10.25 on his first attempt which held up for the win.
•
Cameren Anderson had a pair of top-10 finishes in the throws. He too was a winner, taking first in the shot put throwing a personal-best 52-2.75. He then took sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 51-0.75.Â
• GCU put two more in the top-10 in the weight throw.
Amir Spruell-Everson threw a personal-best 48-11.75 which put him eighth in the competition and eighth all-time at Georgian Court.
Guius Dabney was one spot behind him in ninth throwing 48-4.50.
• Those two also threw the shot put and were again inside the top-10. Dabney finished seventh throwing 45-9.25 and Spruell-Everson 10th at 43-1.50.

Malicah Etienne had a season-best throw 50-7.50 in the shot put for third place.
• For the women,
Chiamaka Wokocha set a new PR for the second straight week. She took second in the weight throw with her throw of 49-9.25. That mark was more than two feet better than any other on the day.Â

Adrianna Fodera also had a personal-best in the weight throw throwing 45-2.25 for sixth place.
•
Sigurlaug Sveinsdottir had a big day in a number of events. Starting in the throws where she finished eighth in the shot put with a personal-best throw 36-11.

Kaydence Fischer took 12th in the shot at 34-2.25 and Fodera was 14th at 33-7.25.
Jumps
•
Daizhae' Brown competed in all three jumping events and set personal-bests in all three. She won both the long and triple jumps and was third in the high jump. Her winning jump of 17-7 in the long jump came on her first attempt and tied her for fourth all-time at GCU. She moved from ninth to fifth all-time in the triple jump with her mark of 37-4.5. She then got over the high jump bar at 5-1 on her final attempt. That jump ties her for fifth in Lions history.
• There were two more personal-bests set in the long jump.
Tishanna Cohen had a huge lifetime PR of 17-2.25 on her final attempt. That puts her ninth in Lions history.Â
• Finishing one spot behind her was Sveinsdottir in fourth place. Her jump of 17-1.25 puts her 10th all-time at GCU.
• Taking second in the triple jump was
Jewel Pierrecharles. She jumped 36-4 on her first jump to finish being Brown.
•
Sydney Hurley competed in the pole vault and cleared 8-11.5 to tie for 11th place.Â
• The men's jumpers saw
Shona Mutokuto take fourth in the triple jump with his mark of 44-3.25.
Matthew Sutton was 11th in the event at 39-7.25.
•
Chuck Smith was 20th in the long jump jumping 17-7.50.
• Gary Boyd took fifth in the high jump getting over 5-10.
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays
• GCU had a finalist in all four short sprints.
• Brown's day wasn't finished with the jumps. She was second in both the prelims and finals of the 60m dash and ran 7.81 in the finals.
• Sveinsdottir joined Brown in the finals. She ran 8.13 in the prelims which is tied for 10th all-time at GCU. In the finals she took seventh running 8.15.
•
Shalom Adzakro ran 9.87 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles and 9.91 in the finals, finishing in eighth place.
• Running for the first time at GCU was
Stephanie Rodas. She was 30th in the 60m hurdles running 11.06.
• For 200m,
Molly Burns was 34th in 29.07.
•
Brian Kutney was second after the prelims in the 60m hurdles after running 8.63. He finished third in the finals at 8.78.
•
Barone Vankline matched his personal-best in the 60m dash running 7.09 in the prelims. His time of 7.12 in the finals was good for sixth place.
•
Nick Jordan ran both the 60m and 200m dashes. He was 46th in the 60m, also matching a personal-best in 7.54. He was 53rd in the 200m running 25.19.
• Josh Tipaldo ran 8.33 for 60m and finished 83rd overall.
• At 400m, the Lions had four run on the men's side.
Marcos Murillo-Benavides led the way finishing 18th in 53.29.

James McCoy wasn't far behind in 21st place running 53.94 and
Sean Donnamaria was 25th in 54.65.
Abdul Brown took 49th in 1:04.75.
Distance
• The men's mile had another event winner.
Ryan Pettrow ran 4:28.11 to break the tape.
• Zach Spoonire was 12th running 4:40.12 in his first collegiate mile.
Nolan Kus was 19th after running 4:43.80.
• Also running his first collegiate mile was
Stephen Lane. He ran 4:58.60 for 38th place.
Matthew Schaub was 44th in 5:03.31 and
Luke McCormick 55th in 5:28.24.
• While the men ran the mile, the women's distance crew ran 800m.
Sophia Mauro led that pack with a sixth place finish in 2:26.07.
•
Nora Sprunger took 30th in 2:45.09.
Samantha Lonseth and
Brenna Sullivan finished back-to-back in 38th and 39th place. Lonseth ran 3:03.18 and Sullivan 3:04.83.
