• Cameren Anderson
On how he felt going into the 2026 CACC Championship meet

I just try to take it one day at at time so honestly today I felt really good. The weather is good. With javelin, I wanted to take it slow and do what I know how to do. Just compete.

On on any added pressure to score points being GCU's only male javelin thrower
Not really. I know I have my team behind me. It felt like another day at practice.

On being a first-year transfer student and making an immediate impact for Georgian Court
I just stay true to myself. I try to be wherever I'm needed. If somebody needs me I'm there for them. Making sure I'm a teammate everyone can rely on and try to keep it cool and calm.

• Chiamaka Wokocha
On what she had working for her this afternoon

I was just trying to keep calm. I know there isn't really pressure, but sometimes in your head you can think there's more pressure on you so you have to get past that and remember to breathe. I was really just trying to breathe and it ended up working.

On the support from her teammates
They're awesome. It's nice that we're at our home field. This feels like we're just practice. Which is good and bad, because you do want it to be more competitive than practice but it's really nice to have that support.

On the work during the season paying off at the conference meet
It takes me a minute to realize that I'm doing something good. You can PR early in the season and then be a little disappointed later if you don't hit a mark you want. But that doesn't matter today, I just wanted to be the best I could be today and that's what I did. You practice to be the best on the day you need to be the best. I feel good about it.

• Brian Kutney
On how he felt throughout the race

I felt great. I felt the runner in lane two pulling away and knew I had to catch up. So I pushed through and got him.

On being so consistent throughout the year
I just try to keep myself healthy. That's the number one thing.
