Throws
• Starting on the women's side when GCU took first and third in javelin.
Sheridan Martinez was the winner throwing 131-3.
Ava Reardon made the podium in third place throwing 117-5.
Ingrid Rivera-Zuniga was 12th at 81-11. Both Martinez and Reardon's best throws came on the first throw in finals.
• The Lions also got a meet champion in the women's hammer throw. Freshman
Chiamaka Wokocha topped the field throwing 136-2.
Sabrina Halk set a personal-best and scored for the Lions with a fifth place finish throwing 112-4. Martinez threw the hammer as well taking 12th place at 94-9.Â
• Halk's PR throw came on her final of the day. Wokocha only got three legal throws off. Her second throw was enough to win the competition but she improved with her fourth throw her best of the day.
• GCU also won the men's hammer and javelin.
Joseph Sauchelli won his third straight javelin championship throwing a season-best 181-2. He was in second place heading into finals, but his fourth throw overtook first place and he hung on to defend his crown.
• Also a three-time champ is

Anthony Lorenzo took fifth with a big personal-best throw of 130-0.
Jumps
• Georgian Court got some people on the podium in the jumps as well.
